Position requires that successful candidate be willing and able to be primary contact to support multiple installations as required. &#160;Successful candidate must be&#160;willing to and be able to participate in on-call rotation. Individual will work closely with peers in the development of standards and in the administration of other database implementations such as SQL and Cache as assigned. Individual will also be involved in the design, development, implementation and support of existing legacy and new application software. The position may require limited travel in support of the enterprise infrastructure. <br />

The Dean's Offices in the Schools of Dentistry and Pharmacy at UCSF are seeking a PHP/MySQL web application programmer to implement the open-source web application called <strong>Jazzee</strong> found at <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://trac.jazzee.org/">http://trac.jazzee.org</a> in our LAMP environment. The application enables prospective students to draft and submit supplemental applications when applying to our doctor of dentistry and doctor of pharmacy degree programs.

Jazzee is expected to have a 1.0 release on June 1, 2010. We need you to implement Jazzee for dentistry and pharmacy so that it is live no later than noon on July 1, 2010 to accept applications and provide PDF reports of the data. If this milestone is complete, we may optionally ask you to write new code to provide more advanced workflow features and reporting to meet the needs of dentistry and pharmacy while working with the Jazzee open-source team to return these new contributions to the project. We have server resources and an SSL certificate ready now.

Experience developing on platforms like J2ME, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Android or BREW. Good working knowledge of Web standards including XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, SVG.  Experience with developing browsers and/or browser plug-ins a plus.  Good grasp of efficient algorithms and data structures. </p>
