Demand Media is seeking an inventive, ambitious developer to work for GolfLink.com. As the No. 1 golf community on the Web, GolfLink.com provides indispensable information about every aspect of golf, including instruction, courses, tips, videos, scorecards and statistics. GolfLink.com has everything you need to analyze and improve your game.

We are looking for someone with a strong editorial background, who is passionate and knowledgeable about golf and wants to work in a fun environment with an energetic team. This position is located in Santa Monica, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of incredibly smart and dedicated developers in the creation of the next generation social media platform using C# on the .NET framework.

• Development of our high profile web 2.0 social networking, content management and distribution systems.

• Accountable for developing new applications and making enhancements to our existing platforms which power our growing portfolio of exciting content and high traffic web destinations.

• The Senior .NET Software Engineer for our eHow.com property will work independently developing new applications for our high traffic website

• Write Microsoft SQL Server database queries, stored procedures and functions

• Responsible for designing new application features and functionality, writing API’s, scalability and maintainability improvements

• Play a very active role in the architecture of our core platform tools which are all built using C# and SQL Server 2005

Requirements:

• 5+ years working as a software engineer/ senior developer/ senior programmer building scalable web based public facing sites using C# and .NET

• Fluency developing medium to large scale, public facing n-tier applications

• The Senior .NET Software Engineer/ senior developer/ senior programmer must have a thorough understanding of object-oriented (OOP) development

• Must be able to work independently under limited supervision

• Sense of humor…seriously
