Job Overview:
Responsible for a broad range of development tasks across the risk systems product base including architecting major enhancements and support tasks. Products include a wide range of web and batch applications developed in J2EE, Java, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripts along with some C applications. This person will work on development efforts across the entire life cycle of a project including analyzing requirements, assisting in design and prototyping, developing software, testing, documentation, and support. This person must be results oriented with both strong technical and communication skills. Based on individuals abilities, there may be opportunities for providing technical direction and leadership to junior developers which may include technical specifications, design documentation (UML diagrams), and technical leadership.
Experience Required:
· Must have 4+ years of experience as a Developer (a minimum of 2 years software development experience, with a minimum of 2 years of Java/J2EE experience) with the required skills below.
· Must be proficient in JAVA/J2EE
· Must have a solid understanding of relational databases and PL/SQL
· Must be proficient at UNIX
· Must be proficient at Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
· Must have excellent communications skills – Written and Verbal.
