Job Description :
*Provide technical and/or business application consultation to business partners and team members in the areas of functionality, architecture, operating systems and databases for complex application systems.
*Provide SharePoint design and development services to assist with SharePoint application development initiatives.
*Test, debug and implement system solutions. Consult with business partners in the development of test data and review results with users.
*Work in conjunction with the SharePoint/MOSS administrator and developers by providing technical research, consultation and support services in various areas.
*Provide timely issue resolution for SharePoint application problems. Manage, communicate, and complete enhancement requests.
*Provide various services including addressing service tickets, providing after hours production support, triaging SQL or network problems related to issues/outages of SharePoint applications.
*Initiate process improvement where areas of SharePoint application support could be documented and resolved by Level 1 or Level 2 support technicians.
*Provide guidance on appropriate infrastructure as it relates in both non-production and production environments.
Job Requirements :
Required:
*Bachelor*s degree or equivalent experience
*5-8 years of .NET development experience
*3 years SharePoint application development experience
*Experience in building and supporting SharePoint applications
*Advanced skill in the administration of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, SQL Server 2005/2008, IIS, and .NET development environments.
*Intermediate skills in SQL 2005 Administration tasks including installation, patching, clustering, log-shipping, and tuning.
*Knowledge of application/data security best practices
*Proven experience with structured and object oriented programming, relational database design, operating systems, networking concepts, and systems integration.
*Ability to translate business needs and problems into systems* design and technical solutions.
*MOSS 2007, SQL 2005, .NET environments and extranet web environments
Preferred:
*Microsoft Certification * MCD
*Complex application architecture experience
*8+ years experience in programming/systems analysis
*Insurance industry knowledge
