Job Description:
We are recruiting a SEO COPYWRITER/ SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER to manage and nurture our current and future customer base while extending our Web presence.
This job would suit an experienced email marketer/copywriter with some social media experience.
The candidate must be organized and be able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively nurture and engage our current customer database via email marketing and social media efforts
- Champion the process of monetizing our current customer database and/or converting our current online customers to purchasing online advertising (although the job is not a sales position)
- Continuously generate new marketing ideas to reach out to our current members that can be instituted and executed quickly
- Champion the process of “touching” our members frequently as the customer database grows exponentially due to our offline national membership association
- Help with social media efforts and daily “touch” campaigns
- Help with website suggestions (some knowledge of HTML helpful)
- Content creation and management (blog, online articles, and email content)
- Content distribution (MailChimp.com)) and dealing with contact form enquiries. Implement opportunities for eMarketing optimization.
Education and Experience:
-Bachelors Degree (Journalism or Communications helpful)
-Web Marketing/Content Management and Promotion (familiarity with Email Marketing (MailChimp), SEM (SEO and PPC) an advantage)
-B2B/Channel Experience an advantage
-Blogging (WordPress Platform) – Copywriting, Widget and Plug-in Management, (Familiarity with CSS an advantage)
-Social Media: (active in social networking, media sharing, forums and micro-blogging) Manage our social media presence for SEO, lead generation, customer service and traffic generation; posting content and marketing collateral to main social media platforms (TubeMogul, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter). Engage with industry forums, blogs and social networking groups
