SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER
Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Web Developer to build from the ground up a sophisticated Web site for its broker-dealer subsidiary. Information architecture will be similar to sites of other broker-dealers such as LPL Financial [http://lplfinancial.lpl.com], Commonwealth Financial Network [http://www.commonwealth.com] and Raymond James [http://www.raymondjames.com].
Responsibilities | Requirements:
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in Dynamic HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax, PHP, ASP, Java, Perl, or C++, MySQL Database, Macromedia Flash, SEO and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign with formal training an asset.
Test, implement, deploy and maintain Web site and all related software, applications and systems.
Develop and maintain all internal systems (i.e. databases) to integrate with site to achieve real-time online transactions.
Ensure that Web pages are functional across different browser | platform types; conducts tests to verify user functionality.
Investigate and resolve all Web site-related problems and escalate if necessary.
Address user requirements, usability, accessibility, security and change requests to ensure Web site functionality.
Create test plans and report test results. Work with outside vendors as necessary, in developing tests to ensure future site functionality.
Research, track and understand new Web technologies to provide technical leadership in developing service applications and analyzing business requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or its equivalency.
6+ years experience building start-up Web sites.
Ability to translate business needs into hardware, software and network systems necessary to meet those needs.
Thorough understanding of IP networking concepts.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Superior knowledge of current Web-design trends and techniques. A strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design and experience with Web database solutions.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of Web site.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team members and support personnel.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
