WaveMaker Software, Inc. is currently looking for a seasoned technical consultant to join our rapidly expanding professional services organization. Occasional travel to client sites required.
Reports to: Director of Professional Services
Primary Responsibilities:
Full life-cycle custom development projects including: requirement analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of WaveMaker based applications and related technologies
Self Starter, problem solver and be able to identify, articulate and present solutions and alternatives to clients with pros and cons
Team player, focus on executing and implementation plans through teamwork and attention to detail
Lead client workshops to deliver Proof of Concepts and Pilot WaveMaker projects
Conduct Wavemaker training classes on-site and/or via Webinar
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. MSc. a plus. Relevant work experience also taken into strong consideration
A positive, organized and detail-oriented team player with a developer attitude with proven ability to solve problems and to multi-task
5+ years of software development experience with client facing skills and relative project management experience
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Fluent in Java and JavaScript Programming Languages
Fluent in OpenSource Java Technology such as Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Servlet and JSP, XML and JAXP
Working knowledge of Relational Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, Oracle and SQL Server
Hands-on experience of Web Services (SOAP, REST) and Ajax application development
Familiar with Agile development methodology
Development experience with Dojo and jQuery is an asset but not required
