VideoEgg is seeking an experienced engineer versed in javascript, Flash, Actionscript 3, and other technologies to join our engineering team. This position will share the responsibility of designing, developing, improving, and maintaining our Flash-based ad platform while working with the dev team to produce new, cutting edge products. The ideal candidate will have a solid computer science or engineering background with interests in software design, user experience, and solving difficult problems. This is a full-time position in our San Francisco office and will report to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
Design, implementation, and maintenance of our ad platform (primarily Flash and javascript)
Architect new features
Work with the Product team to design and spec new functionality
Participate in all phases of the software development cycle
Work with QA to ensure a maintainable and testable software design
Requirements
B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years software development experience
2+ years of software development in Flash or Flex using AS3
Excellent communication skills.
Strong skills in object oriented programming and architectural design patterns.
Experience in a company environment involving a healthy product management organization, architects, dev/QA process, and a customer-facing support.
Proven ability to participate in multiple, concurrent projects.
Track record of documenting work and writing specifications.
Work on-site in San Francisco. This position has no remote work option.
Desired skills
Experience with server side technologies such as PHP or Java.
Experience with web services, databases, and SQL.
