Job Title: Senior Flash Architect / Developer
Job Description:
CREATETHE GROUP, leading Digital Commerce Provider and innovator online, is looking a senior Flash candidate to help build out next-generation presentation-layer interfaces in Adobe Flash. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a passion for implementing challenging designs, while building user-interfaces that are compliant, user-friendly, and performance tuned.
In this position, the candidate would be working with amazing brands, while developing user interfaces that constantly push the envelope, both in creative and technical design. You will be relied upon by the entire team, including business stakeholders, to be at the forefront of both development and thought leadership — by constantly innovating, pushing the envelope, and delivering with results.
You must have a thorough understanding of multi-tiered Web applications with a strong understanding of Flash / Actionscript AS 3 language, Papervision 3D, OOP, and Agile Development Methodologies.
In this role, you will be developing primarily in Adobe Flash with deep exposure and synergies with other technologies including Javascript, Server-Side languages, Web Services There is also heavy post-Server-Side integration with our Server-Side and Commerce implementation teams.
Our MVC presentation-layer framework facilitates developer productivity and presentation code separation allowing other client-side (e.g. DHTML) developers to work along-side our Flash development team.
Responsibilities
Contribute to design and implementation of presentation and integration layers. Work closely with designers, engineers and project managers to meet project requirements.
Required
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of related experience with web applications and technologies
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Principles and Design Patterns
- Expert knowledge of Flash/AS3, deep experience with AS2
- Working knowledge of jQuery or comparable JavaScript framework (e.g. YUI)
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET or comparable backend framework (e.g. Django, Rails)
- Working knowledge of Adobe CS
- Experience working and managing source code in team environment
- Takes strong ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices
- Ability to embrace to new technologies as they become appropriate
- Experience developing Adobe Flash/AS3 applications
- Demonstrated visual-design sensibility
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, hand-in-hand with Project Mgt, Account Mgt, Creative, IA/UX, other Tech
