Kikin is searching for a QA / Release Manager to help enhance our next-generation Internet application and services. This is an opportunity to help revolutionize online navigation, services, and media as we know it.

We are looking for a self-starter that can help structure an agile QA and software-development process improving quality, transparency and predictability of our release cycles.

The successful candidate has worked with small and highly dynamic teams before – ideally in a startup environment. They have hands-on development experience and an understanding of large-scale consumer web applications, and are comfortable bridging the communications gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. They will immediately dive into implementing QA tools and developing and managing the project timeline, as well as helping in all areas where they can lend a hand.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality and on-time delivery of our product

• Implement continuous integration and automated testing

• Manage project timelines from conception through launch

• Define and document all required project tasks

• Develop, control, and steer the project’s master schedule

• Manage overall software release cycle and coordinate development, QA and operations

• Recommend, implement, and manage the necessary project management tools

• Deliver weekly reports on the status of the schedule, missed tasks, milestones achieved, and identified risks

• Resolve project, design, or development issues before they cause schedule delays

Experience Guidelines (some of this should apply to you):

• BA/BS from a four-year institution in a related field

• 4+ years experience in project management or related area

• 4+ years experience in QA technologies

• Diverse knowledge of the Web as it pertains to our project technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, J2EE, C++

• Understanding of back-end web technology

• Understanding and experience in user interface best practices

• Experience with web development life cycles including development, testing, and deployment as well as work breakdown, dependencies, responsibilities

• Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision both individually and in a team setting

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

• Highly analytical, logical, and good problem solver

• Great interpersonal communication skills to get along with a variety of personalities
