Position Description
We are looking for a dynamic and talented Principal Software Engineer to join a fun, extremely talented team of highly experienced architects and engineers. The right candidate will be contributing to the development of innovative solutions for large wireline and wireless customers. Responsibilities include: Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops using software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
Position Requirements
8+ years overall professional software development experience including the following:
BS or MS Degree in CS or related, equivalent experience.
Formal training and 8+ years of professional hands on experience in Java web application development including Java frameworks (Struts, Spring), Application Servers (Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere), HTML, Ajax toolkits, Javscript, CSS and XML.
Experience with J2EE a plus
Experience with C++ a plus
8+years of PERL and UNIX system-level programming
8+years experience with multi-threaded programming
Experience in the development of complex scalable, distributed systems desired
Knowledge of internet standards required.
Excellent team player, creative, self-motivated, positive attitude.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to self-organize and lead a small development team
Desire to learn and improve self and skills
