About the Job:
This is a 6 12 month (ideally full-time) full-time/contract/contract-to-hire position. This PHP Developer will be responsible for creating a front-end web-based application and supporting back-end modules. The successful candidate is someone who is organized, enjoys software designing and coding, and is enthusiastic about brainstorming effective and scalable business solutions.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
participating in a small distributed team designing and developing in: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Web Services, and MySQL. (detailed Product Requirement Documents will be provided to the development team, yet can be modified according to any insightful technical solutions contributed by the candidate)
software development including: estimating, technical specifications, coding, source control and unit testing
designing and coding functional routines and modules in accordance to a software engineering specification (use case)
participating in: design brainstorming sessions, technical design reviews, formal code reviews, bug triage, and functional walkthroughs.
Qualifications/Skills required:
3+ years of experience with strong skills using and writing queries in SQL
Experience with PHP, JavaScript, and AJAX required
Results oriented working in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, quick learner with: initiative, confidence, and ability to deal with unexpected situations and/or last minute changes
Can-Do attitude and willing to take on challenging projects over and above basic developer functions
hard-working, dependable, takes initiative and is completely dedicated
Solid work ethic to deliver on high standards of excellence

Qualifications/Skills desired:

3+ years of experience using PHP, JavaScript, XML, and HTML
Experience with implementing common Object Oriented patterns in PHP 5 a plus
2+ years of Object Oriented Development experience
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, SOAP, a plus
