ShopStyle, a division of Sugar Publishing, is looking for a full-time software developer.
You will apply your passion for user interfaces, web and mobile application design to help build our mobile-optimized site and apps for iPhone and other platforms. Our flagship ShopStyle site and app are highly popular and top-rated shopping experiences, and we are expanding further into the mobile realm with partners like Gap and Old Navy to launch high-quality mobile offerings. You’ll be part of a small engineering team, working in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities:
* Build UI and application logic for mobile websites in Java, javascript, html and css.
* Design and implement features for iPhone apps.
* Engage in UI design and review with team members, marketing and partners.
Requirements:
* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
* At least 3 years programming experience creating commercial web sites or mobile applications.
* Experience with Java, html, css and javascript development and cross-browser coding skills.
* Experience with the iPhone SDK or writing Cocoa applications or similar platforms.
* Strong eye and passion for mobile user interface design and implementation.
Ideally you also have experience with one or more of:
* Ajax programming techniques.
* Java-based frameworks such as Hibernate, Lucene, Tapestry.
