Job Description:
Role: Junior Web Developer
Location: Downtown Minneapolis, MN
Length: Full-time permanent on-site W2
Salary Range: Based on experience and qualifications
You must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Required skills:
2+ years experience with ColdFusion or JSP (preferred), PHP, ASP, RUBY or PERL, etc.
Proficient writing SQL queries, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
Ability to work effectively under tight timelines is crucial
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
Solid understanding of server-side web application technology
Knowledgeable in web standards and browser compatibility
Strong written and oral communication skills
Desirable skills:
Experience in a high availability, high load Enterprise web environment is a huge plus
Understanding of server-side MVC frameworks
OO Design and Analysis (any language)
AJAX (any framework) but jQuery is a huge plus
Source control with Subversion (preferred) or CVS, GIT, VSS, etc.
Proficient creating/modifying Tableless CSS layouts
SEO best practices
XML, XSLT, XPath
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist managers, designers, analysts in conceptualizing and development of web applications
Design/modify web interfaces using XHTML from graphic mock-ups
Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications
Education:
Associates degree with coursework in Web Design or Web Development/Programming. Candidates with equivalent job-related experience in a position with similar responsibilities will also be considered.
