Robert Half Technology is recruiting a Java/Ruby Web application developer to design and develop a Web application as well as work on the middle and database layer. This is a full SDLC and full tired role where we want candidate’s with depth and breadth within the Java and Ruby space. Description:
Design wireframe mock-up screens based on product requirements; incorporate usability best practices into wireframes and GUI screens.
Lead rapid-turnaround GUI layout design review workshops with developers, system engineers, customer representatives, business analysts, marketing management, etc.
Convert approved wireframes into functional Ruby, HTML, CSS and Java Web pages.
Work closely with graphic designer to integrate graphic elements into CSS templates.
Conduct peer reviews with senior manager and supervisor prior to meeting with customers, and make revisions to wireframes and templates as requested.
Must unit test code and verify that GUI meets product requirements.
Unit testing must be followed with full integration testing and rapid-turnaround Quality Assurance testing support and bug fixes.
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience building client facing websites on open source platforms
- 2+ years programming experience developing software using Java and Ruby, preferrably in a UNIX environment
- 2+ years of programming experience with CSS, AJAX, XML, and HTML.
- Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline) from a four-year college or equivalent experience.
