Fathom Creative is a dynamic, interactive/graphic design firm headquartered along the 14th Street Corridor in Washington, DC. For the past 16 years, we’ve helped our clients nail the wow factor in their branding, interactive and communications efforts, executing solutions that have had a real, positive impact on their business.
We’re looking to contract an on-site interactive developer who also has a eye for design. As an important member of our crew, you work side-by-side with our creative team to design and develop interactive projects ranging from animated banner ads up to enterprise-level websites with zero-learning-curve content management systems. You design and develop engaging interactive experiences, built upon reliable, flawless code (both client-side and server-side).
We’ve got a strong team of dedicated, funny and hard-working individuals. If you have trouble multi-tasking and meeting challenging deadlines, you’ll have a tough time here. If you’d prefer to work alone in a vacuum, keep looking. This is a place for solution-oriented, motivated team players who are as passionate about the work as we are.
MINIMUM REQUIRED:
* Comfortable in InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop
* Expert HTML and CSS (validating)
* Mid-level PHP/MySQL (i.e., you are pretty darn good at hand-coding without a book, but might look up syntax now and then)
* Comfortable in Javascript and/or jQuery
* Microscopic attention to detail + efficiency
ADDED BONUS:
* Design experience/portfolio
* Flash/Actionscript
* Developing Joomla! components
* Developing WordPress extensions
* Experience development (IA, wireframes + usage scenarios)
