HTML Developer Graphic Designer (Central Austin)

Immediate availability: This 20+ hour/week part-time contract position will provide the right developer the opportunity to be a part of a growing team focused on creating the best possible Website user experience and delighting Kinnser’s customers. The successful candidate will be the Web technical resource to the marketing team and will interface with the development team to roll out critical marketing initiatives.

Position Responsibilities include:

• Continue the development of Kinnser’s Website and conduct site maintenance using HTML, JavaScript, Flash, CSS, form creation and AJAX

• Create graphics and graphical elements using Adobe creative suite for both online and offline deliverables

• Embed/upload video (including video tracking implementation)

• Develop link bait/lead bait tools such as calculators, surveys, widgets, planners, etc.

• Work with non-technical users to understand and document requirements, and to be able to quickly convert those requirements into working online components

• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to work approximately 20-30 hours per week

Position Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of professional Web development experience for businesses

• Development of dynamic HTML from initial concept from high level requirements documents and design mock-ups

• Development of Websites using HTML, CSS, AJAX, etc, supported by (and tested against) multiple Web browser platforms

• Understanding of XML and RSS

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

• Experience working with both detailed specifications and real time change requests

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues

• Ability to work independently on assignments

• Experienced working with issue tracking, and Web analytics tools

• Experience using MS Office applications

• Experience creating/modifying layouts for CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, Joomla or others is a plus

• The successful candidate will be a person who can demonstrate a track record of successes, creativity and a “get it done” work ethic

Education and Interpersonal Skills:

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience

• Excellent interpersonal communication and team interaction skills

• Strong organizational, and time-management skills
• Sharp eye for detail
