Graphic & User Interface Designer (West Village)

Bootstrap Software, a software consulting firm in Manhattan, is looking for a Graphic & User Interface Designer to join the team and assist in graphic design and wireframing/user experience design for web and mobile applications. We believe that our ideal candidate will have a solid graphic design background and the aptitude to develop strong interface architecture skills.

Duties Include:
- Graphic Design for corporate websites, web apps and mobile apps

- Production of conceptual and interactive clickable wireframes

- Interacting with client

- Ensuring the UI is built to spec during QA periods

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience
- Degree (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Masters), Graphic Design/Art degree preferred
- Expertise in Photoshop/Illustrator

- Detail-oriented and keen eye for HCI/user interface design

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Background in web development

Knowledge that would also be helpful:

Wireframe creation using tools like Axure, OmniGraffle, Visio

Familiarity with best practices and latest standards in web design and usability/user experience

Flash/Actionscript

HTML

CSS

JavaScript

DHTML/Ajax
