Fast-paced workers compensation law firm in Orange County has a position available for a junior level IT tech to perform various technology tasks and troubleshoot the hardware and software related to the firm’s computers, printers, phones, copiers, scanners, Audio/Visual, PDAs and other similar devices and their software.
Provide Tier 1 level tech support to a user population of 100+ employees in person, over the phone and remotely if needed. This position requires occasional availability during off-business hours and weekends.
Technical skills required:
1. Setup, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of client-PC hardware.
2. Setup, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows XP and Vista.
3. Microsoft Office 2007
4. Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking. DNS, DHCP, IP addressing.
5. Familiarity with business telephone systems.
6. Familiarity with business technology peripherals such as copiers, printers, scanners, projectors, BlackBerry, iPhone, etc.
7. Ramp up on new technologies specific to law firms.
Personal skills required:
1. Service oriented attitude.
2. Able to work independently and self-manage open-ended projects/tasks.
3. A professional approach to helpdesk support with exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
4. Strong problem solving mind with a willingness to self-learn and grow personal knowledge base.
