Markmedia founded in 2000, needs an experienced web master to work as a consultant in an ongoing capacity as needed. Consultant will create new, interactive websites as well as improve and extend capabilities of existing sites. Consultant will be part of a seasoned virtual team and should be based in the Phoenix area. We’re looking for a long-term player. This job is very flexible as you can work from home or in our Scottsdale office. Committed hours will vary depending on the project. We are looking to hire full time in the future.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* 5 + years of web programming experience with expertise in CSS, HTML/XHTML/DHTML, JavaScript.
* 2+ years of experience as an independent consultant.
* Dedicated to W3C standards, with an interest in emerging trends and developments.
* Experienced in program integration with existing websites.
* Expert knowledge of cross-platform/browser web development.
* Must be able to devise clean site structure and CSS/coding.
* Must have an eye for typography, design, color, and balance.
PREFERRED
* AJAX
* ASP
* FLASH
* Data architecture development and database integration capabilities (PHP, MYSQL, etc.)
* Bachelor’s degree in CS or EE
Important: Must be a reliable team player with professional business and communication skills. Consultant should be able to bring own ideas to the table while interacting well with and taking input from UI designers, architecture developers, content providers, and clients, as necessary.
