This is a 3 month contract position for one of our clients.
Oracle APEX Developer with demonstrated experience in Oracle APEX version 3 and version 4.
Strong experience in Oracle database, SQL and PL/SQL skills.
Job Summary
This person will design, develop, and test enhancements to the Web tracking system which is an Oracle APEX application. Upgrade the environment from APEX 3 to APEX 4. Enhance the application with GUI and other functional requirements. This is a first shift 3 month contract.
Required Skills
Two plus (2+) years of extensive Application Express development, having built multiple fully functioning applications. Experience with developing outside of the wizards, using PL/SQL-driven processes to manipulate form objects and process user interaction.
Proficient with authorization schemes to secure objects and render pages based on various different access levels.
Ability to create and enhance existing interface templates to meet dynamic needs of advanced user interfaces.
Extensive experience with user interface design, being able to translate business requirements into user-friendly pages with little guidance.
Integration of custom Cascading Style Sheets to set standard and shareable attributes to be used within the application.
Use of JavaScript to validate and manipulate form data based on user interaction.
Familiar with integrating AJAX into pages where needed, to query the database dynamically and reduce page loading and processing overhead.
Experience in Project planning
Experience in preparing a detailed functional requirements review with all of the stakeholders
Experience in User acceptance
Experience in Debugging
Writing Requirements documentation
Writing Test cases and test plans Documentation of all enhancements
Experience in Report generation
Two plus (2+) Years of Oracle database design
Ability to create tables, views, procedures, sequences, triggers, packages, and other various structures needed to support the requirements of an application.
Advanced SQL, being able to develop high-performing queries and jobs to support application development.
Familiar with Explain plans to optimize SQL and implement database enhancements such as Indexes, partitions, materialized views, summary tables, and other various solutions to increase query performance.
Extensive experience with creating scripts to promote changes of objects across multiple environments.
Desired Skills
Experience and familiarity with Java Scripts and how to integrate GUI based controls into application express pages. Business Objects Reporting including Universe Design and Web Intelligence Report Development Experience working within the Java SDK to create custom solutions that integrate business objects into application express and other oracle-initiated procedures.
Unix Shell scripting, Experience creating routine jobs for daily maintenance of files and tasks
